Private Label Programs for B2B Buyers
Fibrena Underwear develops private label men’s underwear for underwear brands, importers, wholesalers, retail chains and e-commerce buyers. Our main product range includes boxer briefs, trunks, briefs and boxer shorts made from cotton, modal, bamboo-derived cellulose, ice-silk and polyester/spandex fabrics.
A private label project can begin with one of our existing styles, a buyer’s tech pack or a reference sample. Existing styles may shorten the development process when only fabric, color, waistband, labels or packaging need to be adjusted. Projects involving a new fit, construction or size specification require additional sample development before bulk production.
We do not treat private labeling as simply attaching a logo to a standard product. Material, fit, branding, label information and packing details must work together as one confirmed product specification.
Product and Material Confirmation
The product brief should identify the underwear style, target fabric, size range, quantity, colors and intended market. Material specifications may include fiber composition, GSM, hand feel, stretch, recovery and opacity.
Available project directions include cotton and combed-cotton basics, modal blends, bamboo-derived cellulose blends, lightweight fabrics commonly marketed as ice silk, and polyester/spandex options. Material availability and custom color requirements can affect MOQ, sampling time and production scheduling.
For projects requiring detailed material comparison, our Custom Fabric & Material Selection page explains the main specifications buyers should confirm.
Fit, Size and Style Development
Private label buyers can use an existing factory style or submit their own size chart, grading rules and construction requirements. Adjustable details may include rise, leg length, pouch construction, seam type, leg opening and waistband width.
A reference garment can help communicate the intended fit, but it should be supported by measurable specifications. Key measurement points and acceptable tolerances are reviewed before production so finished goods can be checked against a defined standard.
New or modified fits should be confirmed through a physical sample. Visual approval alone is not sufficient when the project includes a buyer-specific size chart or market-specific fit.
Logo Waistbands and Brand Identification
The waistband is one of the most visible branding elements on men’s underwear. Buyers should provide vector artwork together with the required logo repeat, waistband width, background color and branding direction.
Before sampling, we review:
- Logo size and placement
- Artwork orientation and repeat
- Waistband color and width
- Elasticity requirements
- Waistband joining position
- Attachment method
- Main, care and size label details
Custom waistband development may involve a separate MOQ and preparation period. More details are available on our Custom Logo & Branding page.
Labels and Retail Packaging
Private label programs can include main labels, care labels, size labels, hangtags, barcode stickers, individual polybags, paper packs, retail boxes and multipack packaging.
Buyers remain responsible for approving fiber composition, care instructions, country-of-origin wording, barcode data and other market-specific label information. Packaging artwork should also be checked for size, color, placement and product compatibility before bulk printing.
Printed bags and boxes may have independent supplier MOQs. Packaging dimensions and packing quantities can also affect carton size, shipment volume and the final quotation.
Samples and Pre-Production Approval
Stock samples usually require around 3–5 days when the selected style and material are available. Custom samples generally require around 7–15 days, depending on fabric sourcing, fit adjustment, waistband artwork, branding and construction.
The sample should be reviewed for:
- Material and color
- Fit and measurements
- Sewing and seam appearance
- Waistband position and elasticity
- Logo and label details
- Folding and packaging presentation
Revisions should be confirmed in writing. The approved sample and final specification become the reference for cutting, sewing, inspection and packing. Our Sample Development & Approval page explains this process in more detail.
MOQ, Production and Inspection
Standard styles usually start from 500–1,000 pieces per color and style. Private label programs generally start from 1,000–3,000 pieces, depending on material, construction, waistband, branding and packaging.
Standard bulk production usually requires around 25–35 days after sample approval and deposit confirmation. Programs involving new materials, complex branding or custom retail packaging may require around 35–45 days.
Bulk production is checked against the approved sample and confirmed order specification. Inspection covers materials, cutting, stitching, measurements, waistband application, label accuracy, appearance and packing. Buyer-nominated third-party inspection or testing can be coordinated when required.
Information Needed for a Quotation
Please provide the product style, fabric specification, size chart, quantity by color and size, logo artwork, waistband requirements, label content, packaging format, destination country and target shipment date.
These details allow us to evaluate feasibility, MOQ, sample requirements, production timing and shipping terms before preparing a project-based quotation.
