Manufacturing Based on Approved Specifications
Fibrena Underwear manufactures boxer briefs, trunks, briefs and boxer shorts for importers, wholesalers, private label brands, retail chains and e-commerce buyers. Production programs cover cotton, modal, bamboo-derived cellulose, ice-silk and polyester/spandex underwear based on the buyer’s confirmed requirements.
Our manufacturing process begins after the product specification, sample, order quantity, size breakdown, branding and packaging have been approved. The approved sample is used together with the confirmed documents as the reference for material preparation, cutting, sewing, inspection and packing.
Fibrena’s approximately 17,698 m² facility in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, includes sample development, production, inspection, packing and warehousing areas. Six production lines support an estimated monthly capacity of approximately 500,000–700,000 pieces, depending on material availability, style construction and customization requirements.
Production Specification and Material Preparation
Before materials are released for production, the order team reviews the approved sample, fabric specification, size chart, color reference, waistband details, labels, packaging and quantity breakdown.
Incoming fabric is checked against the order reference for applicable details such as:
- Fiber composition and fabric specification
- Color and shade
- Fabric width
- Hand feel
- Stretch and recovery
- Visible surface defects
- Batch identification
Waistbands, labels and other trims are also checked against the approved artwork and product requirements. Fabric may be relaxed before cutting when required by the material and production method.
These controls do not replace buyer-requested laboratory testing. Fabric composition, color fastness, shrinkage or dimensional stability testing can be coordinated through a qualified third party when required. Additional details are available on our Fabric Inspection & Material Preparation page.
Pattern Review and Panel Cutting
Cutting follows the approved pattern and size specification. Marker arrangement and fabric direction are reviewed according to the garment construction and material characteristics. The fabric is spread, cut into panels and separated by style, color and size before sewing.
Cutting accuracy affects finished measurements, product symmetry, fabric consumption and sewing efficiency. Panels may be checked for shape, matching, direction and visible defects before being bundled for the production line.
Projects using a buyer-specific fit require a confirmed size chart and grading rules. Changes made after fabric cutting can result in material loss and schedule delays, so pattern and measurement approval must be completed before bulk cutting begins.
The complete sequence is explained on our Cutting & Panel Processing page.
Sewing and Waistband Assembly
The sewing method is selected according to the underwear style, fabric stretch and required seam appearance. Production may involve industrial sewing, overlock and flatlock equipment where appropriate to the approved construction.
Typical assembly points include:
- Front and back panel joining
- Pouch construction
- Gusset assembly where applicable
- Side or center seams
- Leg opening finishing
- Waistband joining and attachment
- Main, care and size label application
- Reinforcement and thread trimming
Waistband application is controlled for length, Logo orientation, joining position, elastic distribution and finished waist measurement. Uneven tension can cause twisting, puckering or inconsistent sizing, so waistband condition is checked during production rather than only after garments are completed.
In-Line and Finished Product Inspection
In-line inspection is used to identify workmanship or measurement issues before the entire order reaches the finishing stage. Depending on the product, checks can cover seam type, skipped stitches, broken threads, puckering, pouch symmetry, leg opening, waistband attachment and label position.
Finished garments are compared with the approved sample and confirmed specification. Key measurements may include waist, hip, rise, side length and leg opening according to the buyer’s measurement chart and agreed tolerance.
Appearance checks cover color, stains, loose threads, seam condition, waistband alignment and general workmanship. Needle detection can be applied when required. Buyer-nominated third-party inspection or laboratory testing can also be coordinated before shipment.

Finishing, Packing and Warehousing
After inspection, approved garments are folded and packed according to the confirmed packing specification. Packing options can include individual polybags, paper packs, retail boxes, multipacks, barcode labels and size stickers.
Packing checks may cover:
- Correct style, color and size
- Folding method
- Label and barcode position
- Pieces per individual pack
- Size and color assortment
- Quantity per carton
- Carton marks
- Export carton condition
Finished cartons are organized in the warehouse according to the order and shipment plan. Carton quantity, measurements, gross weight and packing list information are confirmed from the completed packing arrangement.
Production Lead Time and Shipment Preparation
Standard bulk production usually requires around 25–35 days after sample approval and deposit confirmation. More complex private label programs may require around 35–45 days. Fabric sourcing, custom colors, new waistbands, multiple SKUs, branded packaging and testing requirements can affect the final schedule.
Standard styles usually start from 500–1,000 pieces per color and style. Private label programs generally start from 1,000–3,000 pieces depending on fabric, construction, branding and packaging.
Before shipment, finished goods are checked against the approved product and packing requirements. Fibrena Underwear can coordinate export documentation and shipment arrangements under EXW, FOB, CIF or DDP terms depending on the destination and order conditions. Ningbo and Shanghai are the main nearby export ports.
The full packing and shipment sequence is available on our Packaging & Export Preparation page.
Information Required for Production Review
For a project-based manufacturing review, buyers should provide the product style, tech pack or reference sample, fabric specification, size chart, quantity by color and size, Logo and waistband artwork, label details, packaging requirements, destination and target shipment date.
This information allows us to evaluate production feasibility, MOQ, sampling requirements, material preparation, quality checks and delivery timing before confirming the order.
