Branding Developed Around the Garment Construction
Fibrena Underwear coordinates custom branding for men’s boxer briefs, trunks and briefs supplied to importers, wholesalers, private label brands, retail chains and e-commerce programs.
Logo development can include jacquard or printed elastic waistbands, garment logo placement, main labels, care labels, size labels and hangtags. The appropriate method depends on the product construction, fabric, order quantity, intended appearance and washing requirements.
Branding details are confirmed before bulk production so the approved sample, artwork and placement specification can be used as production references.
Artwork Information Required
Vector artwork is preferred for waistband and garment logo development. AI, EPS, PDF or another editable vector format normally provides clearer dimensions and repeat details than a low-resolution image.
Buyers should provide:
- Logo artwork
- Required placement
- Finished logo dimensions
- Pantone or physical color references
- Waistband width
- Repeat distance
- Background and logo colors
- Label content and size
- Order quantity by style and color
- Required packaging format
If only a reference image is available, feasibility must be reviewed before a sample is prepared. Fine lettering, gradients and very small details may need to be simplified for elastic weaving or printing.
Custom Waistband Development
The waistband is one of the most visible branding elements on men’s underwear. Available directions may include plain elastic, printed elastic, jacquard logo waistbands, stripe details and covered waistbands, depending on the style.
The following points should be confirmed before sampling:
- Waistband width and thickness
- Elasticity and recovery
- Logo height and repeat length
- Logo orientation
- Background and yarn colors
- Joining position
- Attachment method
- Appearance when relaxed and stretched
A logo that looks balanced in the artwork may appear wider or less clear when the waistband stretches. Both relaxed and stretched appearances should therefore be reviewed during sample approval.
The production stage is explained further on our waistband and elastic application page.
Garment Logo and Label Options
Depending on the fabric and design, a garment logo may be applied by an appropriate printing or transfer method. Placement should avoid areas where excessive stretch, seam bulk or repeated friction could affect the appearance.
Private label identification may also include:
- Woven main label
- Printed main label
- Care and composition label
- Size label
- Tagless label where applicable
- Hangtag
- Barcode or SKU label
Label content, position and orientation must be confirmed with the sample. Broader label and brand-program requirements are covered under private label underwear.
Sample Approval and Bulk Branding Checks
Custom samples usually require approximately 7–15 days, depending on waistband development, artwork complexity, material availability and garment construction. A custom jacquard waistband may require separate preparation before the finished garment sample can be completed.
The buyer should approve the logo size, color, placement, waistband stretch appearance, label content and attachment position. Approval steps can be coordinated through sample development and approval.
During bulk production, branding checks cover artwork version, logo orientation, waistband joining, placement, label content and general appearance. Finished goods are compared with the approved sample and branding reference.
MOQ and Quotation Information
Typical MOQ is approximately 500–1,000 pieces per style and color for standard programs. Private label projects commonly require around 1,000–3,000 pieces. Special jacquard elastics, multi-color logos or separately printed labels may have their own supplier minimums.
